On October 18, 2006, I was invited to exhibit at the Landmark Convention Center in Tacoma. The Landmark, a former Masonic Temple, hosts more than 200 weddings a year. This event was for brides who have chosen this venue to further select their banquet room, sample Landmark's catering, and meet preferred vendors. Every room is a veritable history lesson in architectural styles: Doric, Ionic, Corinthian; I chose to paint in the Gothic Room.
I fell in love with the luminous skin of this pasta chef, backlit by a revolving bridal gown. And with the Jamaican jerked pork and mango chutney. This painting is presently unsold. At 24 x 30 inches, its a $1000 value. But I'll entertain lower offers from members of the bridal industry. |
