Patricia Wilson has a degree in commercial art from Milwaukee Area Technical College, a BFA from the University of Wisconsin, and studied additionally at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Cornish College of the Arts. She apprenticed at Stone Press editions, where she worked directly with the late Jacob Lawrence. She is is working on a graduate degree at Norwich College. She currently teaches art to both adults and children, and produces prolifically in several media. Much of her work is inspired by her love of the people and culture of Jamaica.
